I think my iPhone loves me (back)

February 8th, 2010

I’m as attached to this chair as it gets without being stapled or glued.  I had to park myself in front of my laptop this morning because the rotations available for March came out!  I found out that I don’t have to go to re-qualify on the aircraft until April, so March is going to be a nice, gentle “Let’s get back into flying” month for me.

After six months off, I think I’m really excited to get back to traveling!  I got a little too comfortable goofing off here in Charlotte for the last couple of months.  I’m headed to Hawaii for a week at the end of February, hopefully to accomplish a couple things on my Life List, namely Cliff Jumping and Learning How to Surf.  I also get to see the delightful little girls I used to nanny – we’re all going to Hawaii together!

I’m currently working on my February column for Intrepid Media (the Life List was my January column), and am hoping to get that done today before spending the evening goofing off on my online video games.

My dad’s been giving me a hard time about playing this game so much lately, but I chalk that up to him and I having completely different personalities, ideas of what is ‘fun’ and lifestyles.  I didn’t play it for about a month, but the last two weeks I’ve been playing a lot – I love it!

But the awesome part of this morning is that I’ve had the ipod on shuffle – and it’s just giving me all my favourite music in a great mix.  I went and got the UK Top 40 from the end of January, and there are some surprisingly awesome songs on the list!  I have to say that I love “Won’t Go Quietly” by Example and was utterly surprised to find Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” on the Top 40.  I know it’s because the kids from Glee covered it, but it’s still awesome to see a classic kareoke hit getting airtime again!
