must give props where props is due

Am watching Julie and Julia, the movie about a chick blogger that takes on the challenge of making Julia Child’s recipes (or something, I confess, I’m really not watching it, I’m reading a book about vampires (double parenthetical to add: No, it’s not Twilight.) but it’s on in the background).

Anywho, I just heard Julia raving about how amazing this recipe of beurre blanc is, and it reminded me of Neil at work. He made an amazing lemon-caper beurre blanc to go over our salmon the other day, and frankly, it was freaking amazing.  I have some leftover sauce in my fridge right now, but I have no idea how long it will last.  I should get a slab of salmon to make at home, hmm?

I just wanted to throw that out there: Neil made an awesome beurre blanc.  I liked it.  I may have to get the recipe.  Perhaps not, since it’s probably not good for my hips.
