I’m so excited.
Yesterday, I went to Book Warehouse and ordered my copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The ‘Adult’ copy.
*er?*
First, I stopped at Chapters on Broadaway and Granville to see how much they’re selling copies for. $38.95. What? Book Warehouse is FAR cheaper at $29.77 – AND – they’re not a bunch of money-grubbing assholes. Yay for books on the cheap!
When I asked the very nice lady behind the counter at Book Warehouse if I could purchase my very own copy of HPATDH, she asked if I wanted the youth version or the adult version. My dirty mind perked up and was like “there’s an adult version?” and she said “the cover is different”.
Oh.
So, I ordered the adult copy, just on the off chance they include some heavy petting scenes at the last moment. Not likely, but a girl can hope. And while I was paying I asked when I could pick it up. She said that they’d hold the copy for me indefinitely since I had already paid – I didn’t need to rush down. I asked if I could pick it up at midnight on the 21st. “You don’t HAVE to, because we’re holding…” “But I want to. It’s my birthday. My birthday party is that night. I *WANT* to pick it up at midnight!” “Well, then you can.” “Groovy! But I should warn you I might be a little bit drunk. I’ll go ahead and apologize for any inappropriate behaviour or discussion of sex.” “Um, okay, thanks for apologizing in advance!”

Lately, I’ve been downloading music to my laptop when I’m nannying – with the highspeed internet and high ratio of naptime to download time – it seemed the obvious choice. But what to do with it once it’s on my laptop? I mean, who cares, these are shitty speakers. I need this music on the ipod, but that’s already been synced to the desktop…I don’t want to dump everything off it when I sync the ipod to
I found out how to ‘hack’ my ipod – transferring the contents of the ipod onto my laptop, editing what I wanted from there and re-syncing the itunes to the ipod and voila! Fresh Ipod!
Sweet! Check out how, here.
