feeling a lot better, with a lot to catch up on.

September 24th, 2006

wow, what a crappy week.  I hate being sick because I feel like I miss out on so much.  Oh, and I’m effing cranky and that gets wearing (on Adrian) after a while.

… a “while” being about a day.  Then it just gets old.

Things I need/want to do this week, since I’m feeling quite a bit better:

- My friend Julee has two of her photographs in a group exhibition at Exposure Gallery here in Vancouver.  I didn’t make it on opening night, but the show runs until Sunday, and I plan to go see it.

- Speaking of my friend, Julee, she invited me to a wicked knitting group that meets mondays – girls who are mostly at the same level of knitting that I am.  A regular ol’ Stich and Bitch.  I’m quite excited.  Now that the weather has turned (for the WORSE), I need to get back into gear if I plan to finish a new sweater before Christmas, if ever.  Speaking of knitting, keep an eye out for new designs in fall scarves at tokitikki design.   There are still quite a few more designs to add, including jewelry (which, may I remind you, makes excellent Christmas gifts!) and my paintings.

- Yaletown Yoga has “Karma Classes” on Friday evenings, so I plan to hit the hot yoga at 9:15 that night.  It’s a $5 drop-in fee, rather than the normal class fee of $18.  I love yoga, but I don’t feel like only the rich should be able to participate.  It’s lovely having a nice studio that offers these classes.

- I may work up the balls this week to do something that scares me.  I don’t want to jinx it, so that’s all I’ll say.  But I’ll keep you informed.

- I’m working on a column/article right now that has taken me months to get anywhere with, but I need more input.  If you’re a female willing to tell me about cheating on your man (past or present), give me an email.  I need to ask a few questions, but I won’t name any names.  Ditto with guys, although it’ll be from a different angle.   As a matter of fact, I may revive the Sunday Seven for a little while (everyone gets bored in the winter, a good question session would be fun, hey?) just to get some answers questioned.

La la la, love. *sigh*

I didn’t feel so great this morning when I woke up unable to speak for the frog in my throat, but after a day of reading on the couch (in the shining sun!) and an evening of watching the first five episodes of Desperate Housewives, Season One (how did I MISS this show!?), things are looking great for a fabulous week.

sick.

oh so sick.

and not being able to take a day off to recoup this week means that I now can barely speak. My throat feels like sandpaper, and I want to crawl under a rock.

ew. *rasp*

if you can’t say something nice…

I haven’t felt like I’ve been able to, so I’ve abided by my grandmother’s wisdom and said nothing at all. I feel it’s neither interesting nor fair to do nothing but vent on my blog.

Yes, it’s mine, and it’s personal – but you don’t come here to ONLY get negativity. And I’m trying to keep a positive attitude when most of what Life is throwing at me (at us, too) remains firmly in what I would consider Negative.

I’m temporarily on haitus until I get over this cold and can dig the wool out of my brain. Then, I have stories to tell. You know I do, so please be patient with me. Newly married isn’t nearly as boring as all that!

muah, and thanks. ~m.
